Representatives Bill Cummins and David Foster from Vollara Active Pure gave a trial air purifying machine for Custer County Commissioners to consider purchasing for the courthouse and jail during Monday’s regular meeting.
Filing for Clinton’s Board of Education No. 2 seat at the Custer County Election Board Office is open. Candidates interested in running may file a declaration of candidacy beginning 8 a.m. Dec. 6 until 5 p.m. Dec. 10. Incumbent Kim Meacham filed again Monday morning.
Clinton resident Steve Stermer, 71, was charged Dec. 2 with dog poisoning. Police Detective Michael Bouziden said Stermer admitted to poisoning the dog because it was always howling.
A Sentinel man died Friday in a single-vehicle accident on State Highway 44 about a half mile south of Sentinel.
