A 27-year-old Clinton man is facing felony charges of threatening to perform an act of violence after his neighbors “told on him” to his parents, as he had allegedly tried to sell them drugs the week prior to the incident.

In a lengthy meeting this week, Custer County commissioners heard from Assistant District Attorney Ricky McPhearson concerning contracts with the architect and construction manager for the bathroom remodeling project at the courthouse.

Southwest Playhouse kills it with ‘Murder on Orient Express’

Clinton’s Southwest Playhouse is once again putting on an excellent production in Murder on the Orient Express. The play, adapted by Ken Ludwig from Agatha Christie’s famous novel of the same name, is a must see for mystery and theatre fans alike. It opens June 3.

Another tried to walk back to her seat after spelling her first word correctly, only to be reminded she had a vocabulary word next. During one particularly brutal stretch, 10 consecutive spellers heard the bell that signals elimination.
