LOS ANGELES (AP) — A grand jury indictment was unsealed Friday charging a former Los Angeles police officer in the May 2015 shooting death of an unarmed homeless man in Venice, the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office said.

(AP) – A truck driver who backed into a U.S. Coast Guard base in the San Francisco Bay Area — the site of earlier protests against federal immigration agents — was shot by law enforcement officers and wounded, authorities said Friday.

Clinton local Kent Dewees recently discovered, or rather rediscovered, several pieces of memorabilia surrounding the former Trade Winds Motel, and the suite that, “The King of Rock and Roll,” Elvis Presley would stay in during his travels along Route 66.
