Chamber Banquet set to make return

Clinton’s annual Chamber of Commerce Banquet will be held at the Frisco Center next week on Aug. 13. Chamber President Julie Caldwell expects a turnout of approximately 200 people for the event.

Vehicles crash; one runs into home

“Possible injuries” were reported by Clinton police from a twocar accident Tuesday at approximately 3:35 p.m. at the intersection of S. Sixth Street and Modelle Avenue.

In an article published Tuesday regarding Monday’s commissioner’s meeting, Clinton Daily News reported, “Custer County Sheriff Dan Day mentioned members of some of the fire departments in the county are planning a meeting this week to discuss lowering the sheriff office’s share of the sales tax.”
