Clinton resident Chauncy Bolden, 41, allegedly entered Fast Cash attempting to cash a $2,500 check June 16. Bolden allegedly claimed that the check was given to him by Louise Sam, 87, who wanted him to cash it.

Clinton’s City Council members called a special meeting Tuesday evening to discuss and take action on the potential condemnation of three properties. Code Enforcement Officer Toby Anders recommended all properties should be condemned as they are a nuisance and fire hazard to the town.
