As the Clinton Regional Hospital remains closed seven months since its doors shut Jan. 1, news has come from officials stating the Oklahoma State Department of Health had no record of a new licensure application being filed despite City records proving otherwise.

As of press time Wednesday, incumbent Ernesto Villanueva had filed for reelection for his Clinton City Council Ward 1 seat, according to the Custer County Election Board.

As work continues to reopen the Clinton Regional Hospital, the newly reconstructed Clinton Hospital Authority began discussions during a special meeting Tuesday of electronic medical records services as well as water treatment services and oxygen medical gas in preparation of reopening the hospital.
