Those interested in a good time filled with food, music and community this week can go down to Frisco Avenue in their fiery roadster for this month’s Friends on Frisco, where the theme is “Get your Kicks on Route 66.”

COVID-19 cases are once again on the rise across the area but despite new outbreaks, many area long-term care facilities are not instituting new lockdown procedures due to vaccination programs and infection control measures electing for a more directed approach to the illness.

Tyler Luke Whitley, 20, of Weatherford, has been charged with bringing contraband into a penal institution after an incident took place in the Custer County Jail Aug. 17.
