The TV meteorologist kept saying the tornado would strike the University of Arkansas Medical Center at 2:30 p.m. and Arkansas Children’s Hospital three minutes later. If so, we’d have taken a direct hit sometime in between. I kept watching the radar and telling my wife that the accursed thing would pass us to the north and west. I’ve always been a map guy, and I know that tornadoes track southwest to northeast.
DEAR HARRIETTE: I have developed some dark spots on my face over the past few years. I cover them up with makeup, but they seem to be getting worse. A friend of mine keeps chastising me for spending time in the sun. I have to admit that I have been a sun worshipper for most of my life, since I was a teenager. I am now in my 50s.
DEAR HARRIETTE: I am traveling with a work group, and we will be in close quarters for about a month. I like the people I’m traveling with, so I suspect everything will be fine. My one concern is that I have a number of medical issues nobody knows about. I am a very private person, especially about things like this. I had to fill out a form to outline my medical history, but that form was private. I’m wondering if I am under any obligation to tell my team about my medical challenges. For the most part, there should be no issues.
