Reports about schools closing statewide became official Monday afternoon, when an emergency Oklahoma State Board of Education meeting ended with a vote to shut down all schools until April 6th in response to the rising concern over COVID-19 (Coronavirus).

No new word came down from OSSAA about postponements or cancellations due to the concern over COVID-19.

The Oklahoma State Department of Education (OSDE) voted in an emergency meeting Monday to close all Oklahoma schools until April 6th due to concern over COVID-19 (Coronavirus). This means athletics will also be shutdown until that date as well.
