Following years of serving as associate pastors and working in the youth and children’s ministries for the New Hope Fellowship Church here in Clinton, Jamie Patton and his wife Kelli are being elevated to new heights as he takes over the role of senior pastor for the church.
The highlight of Thursday’s special meeting of the Clinton Board of Education was the board welcoming its newest member to the fold, as Luzella Williams took the oath to serve the students and community of Clinton.
Before it was terminated nearly two years ago, Eastside Academy, an after-school program for at-risk students, received most of its funding from the United Fund of Clinton. Now, the program is looking for assistance from the community to continue providing a safe after-school learning environment for students.
The past year has been busy, but good, for Sinor EMS, an organization with a lot to look forward to in the coming year. “We like to run four trucks as much as we can, so we’re trying to stay staffed up to do that,” said EMS Director Michelle Addington.
