NEW ORLEANS (AP) — A New Orleans jail maintenance worker has been arrested and is being held on a $1.1 million bond after admitting he turned water o  to a toilet covering a hole in a cell wall, allowing 10 men to squeeze through the gap in one of the largest jailbreaks in recent U.S. history.

Responded to a report of a noise disturbance in the 10000 block of N. Airport Rd., Clinton.

With summer finally knocking on the doorstep, the Levitt AMP Clinton Music Series is set to return at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the R.E. “Dick” Lloyd Amphitheatre in McLain Rogers Park with Oklahoma duo The Imaginaries making their Clinton return as well.

The Clinton Public Schools Board of Education held a special meeting Monday morning to go over bids for the $1,950,000 General Obligation Bonds for the construction of the new Clinton Middle School.
