TORREY, Utah (AP) — A man who authorities accuse of killing a southern Utah woman, stealing her vehicle and driving it to a nearby trailhead and killing two women who were hiking together before fleeing in one of their vehicles has been arrested, officials announced Thursday.

(AP) – An Arkansas man accused of killing his teenage daughter’s alleged abuser won the Republican nomination for local sheriff while waiting to stand trial for murder in his rural county, where he ran on a message of seeing the failures of law enforcement.

The Oklahoma Foundation for Excellence will honor 100 Oklahoma public school seniors as members of its 2026 Academic All-State class and among that number are three area students. They are Jackson Mc-Cullough, Clinton High School; Ehimen Umobaurie, Arapaho-Butler High School; and Katie Kreizenbeck, Weatherford High School.

Council allows time for demolition

Essentially by taking no official action, the Clinton City Council bought more time for a family attempting to properly dispose of a dilapidated home.

The Clinton Economic Development Authority met Wednesday afternoon at the Frisco Center to discuss the job description of the vacant economic development director position and to determine under what authority the eventual employee would fall under.
