In January, Clinton voters showed overwhelming support in allowing the sale of Clinton Regional Hospital. In June, due to the need at the time to amend the original ordinance to essentially allow the physical facility to be used as collateral for the intended buyers, they did it again. At the end of July, the sale of the hospital fell through leaving residents, City of Clinton and hospital officials unsure of the hospital’s future. The question asked by some is what exactly does it cost to conduct such elections through the Custer County Election Board?
