NORMAN – Jumping right into the elite competition, the Clinton tennis program opened its season at one of the toughest events of the year Tuesday at the Westwood Tournament.

The OSSAA made an official announcement Thursday about the rising concern over CO- VID-19, also known as the coronavirus, stating that the basketball state tournament games have been postponed, and it’s up to the district’s discretion on whether to continue other sports.

Lady Reds drop slugfest to H-E

An offensive blitz by the Clinton girls' slow-pitch softball team (0-1 overall) was undone by six errors in Tuesday's season opener, falling to Hydro- Eakly, 26-20.

OKLAHOMA CITY Through the first three games of the 2020 season, the defending, Class 4A state champion, Clinton girls’ soccer team (3-0 overall) has cruised its way through the early, non-district slate and added to that narrative in a 10-0, goal-rule win at Southeast Monday night.

Three Clinton players make all-conference

Two Red Tornadoes and one Lady Red made the all-conference basketball teams this year, with Atrel Bryson (first-team) and Caden Powell (secondteam) making the list on the boys’ side, and Carmella Jefferson (second-team) earning the honor on the girls’ side.

Indians end as state runners-up

OKLAHOMA CITY – True to form, the Arapaho-Butler boys’ basketball team never folded up and continued to grind back into the Class A state championship game against Garber Saturday at the Big House, but the effort wasn’t enough, falling short in double overtime, 53-51.
