The Clinton High School track program competed in its second meet of the season, Thursday at home, and numerous CHS athletes placed in the top three.
GUTHRIE – Strong wind gusts welcomed a new batch of Clinton starting golfers Wednesday in Guthrie’s Tournament at Cimarron National Golf Club.
There’s a big-play gene in Clinton senior Zade Cisneros, and it showed itself early in his varsity career on the football field and basketball court.
Tuesday night’s home opener for the Clinton soccer program ended with two prominent victories, as the Clinton girls (1-2 overall) picked up their first win of the season, 10-0, and the CHS boys (3-0) maintained an undefeated start and got some revenge on Southeast, 2-1.
NORMAN – Tourney No. 1 of the Clinton tennis season was more about shaking the rust off against Class 5A and 6A competition Tuesday at the Westwood Tournament in Norman.
A work-heavy offseason and added confidence on the football field made senior Tavious Jennings a better player for the Clinton boys’ basketball team this past winter.

Like all spring sports returning to play, the Clinton baseball team will jump headfirst into the somewhat unknown at 5 p.m. Thursday, when it hosts Cache for the season opener.
ENID – True to form, the Clinton boys’ basketball team (15-7 overall) rose above adversity from early on in the area consolation semis Friday, against No. 12 John Marshall (16- 7), but it just wasn’t enough, falling 67-58, to end the season.
The Clinton soccer program played its second games at Bethany Friday. The CHS girls (0-2 overall) fell, 3-1, to the Lady Bronchos. The Reds (2-0) picked up their second win of the season, 2-1.
