Bobby Gene Hicks Sr. was born June 22, 1948, to Elmore Franklin and Norene (Petty) Hicks in Clinton, Okla. He passed Jan. 8, 2025, at the Clinton Veterans Center. He was on Clinton’s very first football state cham-pion-ship winning team. He attended Cameron University in Lawton for one year, while he was there he attended OCS and came out as a 2nd Lt. He did basic training at Ft. Polk, La., and also did training at Artillery Air Defense at Ft. Sill.

Roe Ann (Forsythe) Rayner, born Sept. 13, 1931, at Leedey, Oklahoma, the daughter of Clydie Jones and Mary Jane (Stevens) Forsythe. Roe Ann graduated from Leedey High School in 1950. On December 22, 1951, she married Donald Dean Rayner at Leedey, OK. They lived on the farm at Custer City OK for 3 years before moving to Clinton in 1954.
