Services for Yvonne M. Fransen will be held on October 28, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Clinton.

Ms. Fransen died on October 23, 2022. She was born on December 6, 1924, to Weaver Lee and Stella (Ray) Myers of Arapaho. She graduated from Clinton High School in 1941 at the age of sixteen.

She married George M. Fransen on December 10, 1942. George and Yvonne farmed and raised two daughters, Yvonne Jr. and GeoReta, in the Barnitz Creek bottom west of Arapaho. She worked at the cotton gin as a book-keeper, and was a 4-H leader and class parent for her daughters.

In the years that followed she enjoyed many hobbies, includ-ing bridge clubs, painting, tennis, snow and water skiing, traveling with friends, yoga, water aerobics, and bragging on her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Yvonne was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her siblings W.L. Myers and wife Opal, Clifford Myers and wife Milldred, ZanReta Scarce and husband Kenneth, and Mickey VanAlstine and husband Ray. She was also preceded in death by sisters-in-law Elsie Hinz and husband Alvin, Martha Harms and husband Walter, and Amanda Fransen, and brothers-in-law Henry Fransen and wife Ruth, Albert Fransen, Harvey Fransen and wife Marge, and Jim Fransen.

She is survived by her daughters Yvonne Carpenter and husband Jack of Arapaho, and GeoReta Jones and husband Terry of Arapaho. She will be missed by four grandchildren: Jill Weedon and husband Rick of Arapaho, Shane Aneshansley and husband Brian of Clinton, Zach Jones and wife Loretta of Weatherford, and Kylie Paranto and husband Travis of Broomfield, Colorado. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren: Quinn Weedon, Greyson Weedon, Landon Aneshansley, McRae Aneshansley, River Paranto, Reece Paranto, Ozlo Jones, and Owyn Jones. She treasured her many nieces and nephews.
