A Chapel Service for Willie C. Waldrop, 90, Clinton resident will be held 10:00 A.M., Thursday, September 30, 2021 in the Kiesau Memorial Chapel officiated by Patrick Peters. Burial will follow in the Clinton Cemetery under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home.

Willie C. Waldrop was born March 7, 1931 to F.M. Waldrop and Iva Allen Waldrop in Vinita, OK and passed away Sunday, September 26, 2021 in the Corn Heritage Village in Corn, OK.

Willie was raised in the Lake Valley and Gotebo area and attended Cordell School graduating in 1951. He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in June of 1951. He was honorably discharged in June of 1955. He returned home and opened and operated a auto repair shop in Dill City, OK. In 1973 he began a career with the Department of Transportation first as shop foremen and later became the bridge inspector foreman and he retired in 1991.

He was married to Vera Stermer in 1979 in Bessie, OK. They were longtime faithful members of the Church of Christ. He did woodworking, building bird houses and became an expert in building replicas of bridges.

He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, an infant son, Eugene Waldrop, brother, Marion Waldrop, sister in law, Wanda Waldrop and a nephew Randy Waldrop.

He is survived by his four sons, Everett Mike Waldrop and wife Debbi, Colony, Ok, Clarence Pat Waldrop and wife, Dianna, Charles Phillip Waldrop and wife,, Paula, Kansas City, MO and Shaun Paul Waldrop and wife, Heather, Clinton, OK.
