Velma Jean “Ducky” Donelson passed away peacefully on April 13, 2026, following a brief illness. A lifelong daughter of Western Oklahoma, Ducky was defined by her unwavering devotion to her loved ones and her kind, spirited nature.

Ducky was born on December 5, 1934, to Frank and Willie Mae (Lanier) Kluver.

Raised in Clinton, she was a proud graduate of Clinton High School, Class of 1952.

On March 24, 1957, she united in marriage with Raymond Donelson. Early in their marriage, the couple lived for a time in West Texas before returning to Oklahoma to build their life together, eventually settling in Arapaho.

Her greatest joys in life were traveling and being surround-ed by her family.

Whether she was exploring new places or hosting a holiday gathering, she was the steady heart of her family.

Known affectionately as Ducky, Nanah, or Granny, she cherished every moment spent with those she loved.

Ducky was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Raymond; her two sons, Kevin and Lance Donelson; her brother, Ordell Kluver; and her sisters, Verla Geswender and Mona Meyer.

Her memory will be cherished and kept alive by her grandchildren: Logan, Lexi, and Landon Donelson, and Katie Donelson McTiernan and her husband, Dolan.

She is also survived by her nephews, Randy (Pam) Kluver and Paul (Hong) Kluver; her nieces, Valerie Stephenson and Cheryl Bruce; and a wide circle of extended family and dear friends.

In accordance with her wishes, a private memorial service will be held at a later date to honor her life and legacy.
