Funeral services will be held for Sam Mc-Gaha, 59, of Hobart at 11 a.m. Saturday at Ray and Martha’s Funeral Home›in Cordell.

He died Saturday, May 4, 2019, in Oklahoma City.

McGaha was born Jan. 11, 1960, to Elmer Lee and Eula Mae (Miller) McGaha›in Oklahoma City. He grew up and lived the majority of his life in southwest Oklahoma. The family moved to Dill City in 1968 and McGaha graduated from Dill City High School in 1978.

On Sept. 29, 1979, he married Kathryn Petzold. He settled his family in Hobart in the early 1990s.

McGaha enjoyed discussing politics and biblical prophecy, baseball and hot dogs. He was known for being generous and quick to help anyone God put in his path. He served on the Hobart City Council from 1997 until 2001. He was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; a father-in-law, Gilford Petzold; a sister, Leone Ledford; and two brothers, Ricky McGaha and Ronnie McGaha.

Survivors include a son, Samuel Lee Mc-Gaha›of Norman; six sisters, Becky Jeffries of Moore, Patricia Holt of Mustang, Linda Riddle of Mesquite,›Texas, Sue Mc-Gaha of Oklahoma›City, Kathy Goulden and husband Tim of Yukon, and Mila Korn and husband John of Cordell; two brothers,›Doyle McGaha and wife Millie of Granite and John McGaha and wife Peggy of›Gretna, Neb.; his mother-in-law, Rudene Petzold of Hobart; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday and Friday. The family will welcome guests from 6-8 p.m. both days.

Interment will follow the service at Lone Wolf Cemetery.
