Patricia Lucile (Johnson) Miskel of Clinton was born August 15, 1940 to Charles Lee and Lillian Lucile (Meacham) Johnson in Clinton, OK. She passed away at Alliance Health Clinton on January 6, 2021. Services are under the direction of Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home.

Patricia grew up in the Arapaho area, graduating from Arapaho High school in 1958 as Salutatorian of her class.

After graduating from Southwestern Oklahoma State University, she became a teacher. She taught in the Clinton Public School system for 35 years. She taught 6 th grade at Nance Elementary for 10 years and 5 th grade at Washington Elementary for 25 years.

She married Vaughn (Bud) Miskel in 1959. They had three children and lived in Clinton, OK most of their married life.

She is survived by her children Patricia Lynn Kisinger and husband Darin of Arapaho, Ok, Dana Leigh Ratcliffe and husband James of Weatherford, Ok, and Michael Vaughn Miskel of Clinton. She is survived by two grandchildren who were very special to her, Caulan Asher Miskel and Mia Shae Miskel.

Patricia enjoyed gardening, canning the produce she grew, reading, quilting, and spending time with her family and grandchildren. After retirement she served on the Clinton Public School Foundation board. She loved books and served on Friends of the Clinton Public Library.

For many years she also served on the Clinton Library Advisory Board. She kept in close contact with the many friends she made from Bud’s Clinton High School Class of ’56 and enjoyed publishing the group email newsletter for them each month.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 51 years.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made in her name to the Clinton Public Library at 721 Frisco Ave., Clinton, OK 73601. Donated funds are used to buy books with a memorial label placed inside the books purchased.

The family will have a private service.
