Funeral services will be held for Olene Spradlin, 88, of Dill City at 10 a.m. today in the Dill City First Baptist Church.

She died Sunday, July 7, 2019, in the Grace Living Center in Buffalo.

Wanda Olene Spradlin was born Nov. 7, 1930, to Oscar Woolf and Cledia (Head) Woolf in Mount Pleasant. She was raised in Mount Pleasant until she was 12 years old, when her family moved to Dill City. She graduated in Dill City in 1948.

On Feb. 2, 1952, she married Frank Spradlin in Cordell. They made their home in Dill City, where they farmed and ranched.

Spradlin was a longtime and faithful member of the Dill City First Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, watching the World Series, and attending her grandchildren’s sporting events and other activities.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and two brothers, Clyde Woolf and Bruce Woolf.

Survivors include two daughters, Gail O’Neil and husband Kelly of Alva and DaLene Schmidt and husband Les of Dill City; a son, Dale Spradlin and wife Rene of Buffalo; nine grandchildren; and 31 great-grandchildren, with two on the way.

The service will be officiated by Pastor Ron Roskam. Burial will conclude in the Strickland Cemetery south of Cordell, and under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home.
