Mickey Don Myers, 79, of Weatherford, Oklahoma, passed away on Saturday, December 26, 2020, at the OKC Veterans Hospital.

Public viewing will be available December 30-31, 2020 and Saturday morning, January 2, 2021 at Lockstone Funeral Home in Weatherford, Oklahoma. A private memorial service for family members only will be held Saturday, January 2, 2021.

Mick was born in Canton, Oklahoma on March 1, 1941. He was raised by Leon and Lenna McClure Myers. He graduated from Canton High School in 1959. After graduation he worked for Elliott Brothers Construction Company in Oklahoma City and operated heavy machinery.

In January 1966, he was drafted into the United States Army and served until he was honorably discharged in December 1967. After serving, he operated a custom combine service and cattle operation. Between wheat harvest and winter cattle responsibilities, he used his CDL to haul livestock, grain, and farm implements.

When his harvest days were over, he began working for the Dolese Bros. Company hauling concrete and working as a batch man at the Weatherford and Clinton Dolese plants. After working for Dolese for nearly twenty years, Mick began working for the City of Weatherford until he fully retired.

Since May 2017, Mick has been a resident of the Clinton Veterans Center in the Alzheimer’s unit. The medical team and staff provided excellent care for him, and we appreciate them dearly.

Survivors include two sons-Kelley Myers and wife, Trina, of Owasso, Oklahoma; & Kerry Myers and wife, Kelly Jo, of Cypress, Texas; four grandsons-Kelsey Myers of Tulsa, OK; Kolby, Kolton, and Kannon Myers of Cypress, TX; two sisters-Jeanie Cavett and husband, Danny, of Moore, OK; & Jan Walton and husband, Roger, of OKC, OK; and several nieces and nephews and their families. Mick is preceded in death by his parents.
