Melvin Wayne Hauck, 84, of Cordell, Oklahoma passed away unexpectedly on April 22, 2022 at his home. He was born on October 5, 1937 to John James and Frances (Bushing) Hauck in Hammond, Indiana.

Melvin attended school in Hammond, Indiana and graduated from Hammond Technology Vocational High School in 1955. He was drafted to the United States Navy and was honorably discharged on October 27, 1962. After serving his country, Melvin attended college in California, receiving a Bachelor’s Degree.

He worked as a purchasing agent at Disney Land. Melvin met Jane Price while working at Disney Land, they were united in marriage August 1, 1987 in Anaheim, California.

He was a member of the New Beginnings Assembly of God Church in Cordell, Ok. Melvin was an avid writer, he published his own book. Melvin started a creative writing class at the Cordell Public Library. He loved the Bible and enjoyed talking and teaching about the Bible.

He had many other hobbies. Melvin will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, especially his family.

Survivors include: Children: Lori Alexander & husband Kevin, Warr Acres, OK, Michelle Rhodabarger, Mangum, OK, David Rhodabarger, Mangum, OK, Susan Nelson & husband Corey, Long Beach, CA; Grandchildren: Mark Alexander & wife Jamie, Bethany, OK, Amanda Alexander, Oklahoma City, OK; 2 Great Grandchildren: Juda and Samuel Alexander, Bethany, OK; Sister: Beverly Taulbee, California.

Preceded in death by his Parents: John James and Frances Hauck; Wife: Jane Ellen Hauck; Son: Jeffery Mel Hauck; and Brother: John Hauck.

Funeral: 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 26, 2022, New Beginnings Assembly of God Church, Cordell, Oklahoma.

Interment: Lawnview Cemetery, Cordell, Oklahoma.
