Lynda Sharon (Ringo) Farmer, age 80, a longtime resident and business owner of Clinton, Oklahoma, was born on April 24, 1944, in Stockton, California, to Herschel and Dorothy (Smalley) Ringo.

She passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at the Clare House in Tulsa, with her daughter Michelle by her side.

Lynda spent her early years in Stockton, where she attended school before moving to Clinton, Oklahoma, during her senior year in 1962. It was there that she met the father of her children. Lynda was a proud and devoted member of the Broadway Heights Baptist Church in Clinton.

A successful businesswoman, Lynda owned a pawn shop in Tulsa with her son, Drew, and operated Shamburgs Sporting Goods in Clinton for many years. She also maintained a booth in the Mulberry Bush alongside her dear friend and partner in crime, Susie Farmer. Occasionally, Lynda and Susie would manage the store for Cheryl McCullers during her absence.

An ardent artist, Lynda loved painting and drawing, and she cherished celebrating holidays with her family. She also enjoyed assisting Susie at Chandler’s flower shop during the festive seasons.

Lynda was preceded in death by her parents, her son Drew Farmer, and her stepfather Bethel Shamburg. She is survived by her daughter Michelle and her husband Bobby Chambers of Tulsa, her sister-inlaw Susie Farmer of Clinton, her brother-in-law Rick Farmer and his wife Lela of Hydro, and her grandson Dillon Chambers of Sapulpa. Additionally, she leaves behind her aunt Pat Thompson of Georgia, as well as her nieces and her nephew, Krystal, Amber, Landon, Shae, Kelcey, Heather, Kiley.

A memorial service for Lynda will be announced at a later date and will take place at the Broadway Heights Baptist Church with Rev. Robert White officiating. Under the direction of the Lee Hometown Funeral Home, her cremains will be buried next to her son Drew in the Clinton Cemetery.

Lynda’s legacy of love, artistry, and dedication to her family and community will always be remembered and cherished by all who knew her.
