Funeral Services for Lyman Lambertus, 87, Clinton resident will be held 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, December 11, 2019 in the First Baptist Church Chapel, officiated by Rev. Chris Fields. Burial will follow in the Vicksburg Cemetery under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home.

Lyman Fred Lambertus was born November 26, 1932 to Red and Neva Audrey (Shearer) Lambertus in Custer County, OK and passed away Friday December 6, 2019 in his Clinton home.

Lyman was raised in Custer County and attended Arapaho Schools thru the 8th grade and then transferred to Independence School and graduated in 1950. He joined the U.S. Army in 1953 and was honorably discharged in 1955. He was married to Linda Aday September 28, 1956 in Clinton.

He continued his education at Southwestern State College in Weatherford and received bachelor’s degrees in science and accounting in 1959. He began a career with the Internal Revenue Service in 1960 and after 28 years retired and made his home back in Clinton. He farmed with his father until his father’s death in 1991 and continued to farm for a short time.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church; he was active with the Boy Scouts; he enjoyed nice cars, leather working, loved the outdoors, boating, skiing, fishing, and hunting.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Glen Lambertus, and a sister, Audrey Lambertus.

He is survived by his wife, Linda, of the home, two daughters, Lisa Lambertus-Hanger, Clinton and Leigh Ann Lambertus-Griffith, Minco, OK and a son Larry Lambertus, Mid-West City, OK.

He is also survived by five grandchildren, Michelle, Michael, Christopher, Justin, and Audrey and two great-grandchildren, Everett and Michael, Jr.
