LaNita Dawn (Castor) Hamm began her pathway of life in Sapulpa, OK. on May 21, 1971. She was the daughter of Doyle Dodson and Donna Marie (Greenfield) Castor and she was welcomed by her brothers, Randy Doyle and Raymond Lee.

In June of 1974 the Castor family moved from Sapulpa to make their permanent home in Vici, OK. LaNita grew up in the Vici community and began her school days in the Vici Public Schools. She was a twelve year graduate with the Senior class of 1989. Following graduation she moved to Oklahoma City, OK. where she was employed in Nichols Hills. On February 3, 1990 at the age of 18, LaNita was baptized by Bro. Darrell Kitchens. She was a lifelong member of the church she faithfully attended, the General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn in Clinton, OK.

On March 20, 1993 in the Vici Church of the Firstborn, LaNita was united in marriage to her long time friend and love of her life, Hardy Dale Hamm. This new path led them to live in several communities in Oklahoma, including Purcell, Lexington, Moore and Clinton before settling in Arapaho. Along the way their homes were blessed with three children, Austin, Jodi and Kellie. LaNita was a homemaker, always caring for her family and their needs. Spending time with her grandkids and family was very important to her. She enjoyed listening to music, traveling and visits to the nail salon to have her fingernails done. Craft projects and making tie blankets were favorite hobbies.

She was a loving daughter, wife, mother and sister that will be greatly missed by all who knew her. At the age of 50 years, 10 months and 24 days, a new and eternal pathway began for LaNita on April 14, 2022.

She is preceded in death by her father, Doyle Castor, maternal grandparents Robert and Leta Greenfield and paternal grandparents Lorraine and Erma Castor. Her father-in-law and mother-in-law Alfred and Wilma Hamm. Two brothers-in-law Rick Meyers and Wesley Hamm and three sisters-in-law LaRonda Hamm, Renae Outlaw and Alfreda Meyers.

Her memory will be cherished by her husband, Hardy Hamm of Arapaho, OK., her mother Donna Castor of Vici OK., her children Austin Dale Hamm and wife Carrie Ann of Moore, OK., Jodi Marie Hamm of Tahoka, TX. and Kellie Dawn Hamm of Arapaho, OK.; Grandchildren; Griffin, Canaan, Cooper and Hollynn Hamm of Moore, OK.; brothers Randy Castor and wife Becky of Vici, OK. and Ray Castor of Bethany, OK.; sister-in-law Stephanie Castor of Agra, OK.; Brothers in-law Trentice Hamm and wife Becky of Lexington, OK., Woody Hamm and wife Charlotte of Lexington, OK. and Greg Hamm and wife Maranda of Stratford, OK.; sister in-law Dalla Johnson of Sarasota, FL. and nieces and nephews; Colby Castor, Robert Castor, Randall Castor, Colton Castor and Trystynn Easter; Riley Castor and Erica Fox; Bridget Griffin, Trenton Hamm, Bailey Hamm and Triston Hamm; Colbi Hamm, Taylor Quinn, Morgan Hamm and Mason Hamm; Daysha Boomer and Brooklyn Hamm; Bethany Ellenberg, Nicole Barnes, Autumn Cunningham and Brandon Johnson, other relatives and friends.
