Funeral Services for Kevin Evans, 59, Custer County Law Enforcement Officer, will be held 10:00 A.M., Monday, September 12, 2022, in the Cumberland 1:00 P.M. till 8:00 P.M., Sunday, September 11, 2022.

Kevin Eugene Evans was Office in Taloga

Presbyterian Church, officiated by Pastor Bowman Vowell and Sheriff Dan Day and under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home.

He will be honored, by his fellow officers, with a 21 Gun Salute and Flag Ceremony following funeral services in the parking lot of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

Visitation will be 8:00 A.M. till 8:00 P.M., Saturday September 10, 2022, and born March 13, 1963, to Ivan “Doc” Cleon Evans and Carolyn Kay (Mosteller) Evans in Woodward, OK and passed away Tuesday, September 6, 2022, in his Clinton home.

Kevin was raised mostly in the Taloga area and graduated from Taloga High School in 1982. He farmed for a short time and was a Reserve Deputy for the Dewey County Sheriff’s while his father served as sheriff. He married Alice Marie Macropoulos on June 1, 1984. He had served with the Arapaho Fire Department for over 25 years as well as serving with the Custer County Sheriff’s Office for over 32 years. He was serving as Under Sheriff when he retired in January 2022.

He was a faithful and active member of the Clinton Cumberland Presbyterian Church where he was presently serving as an Elder. He was active with the Red Knights Motorcycle Club, Oklahoma Sheriffs Association, Men’s Breakfast Club and he served on the Multi County Youth Services Board. He loved to fish, hunt, trade guns, buy and sell rod and reels, listen to country music and he loved to Amazon Shop.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Alice, of the home, daughter, Alicia Curry and husband, Ben, Edmond, sister, Kimberly Chenoweth, Clinton and brother, Jae Evans, Salt Lake City, Utah.

He is also survived by his four grandchildren, Kyleigh DePesa, Katie DePesa, Kacee Curry and Aiden Curry.
