A Memorial Service for Judith Garner, 75, Taloga resident will be held 11:00 A.M., Saturday, February 6, 2021 in the First Christian Church in Putnam, OK, officiated by David Beck and under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home.

Judith Lynn Garner was born January 31, 1946 to Lester Lafayette Cecil and Betty Jean (Bowling) Cecil in Seminole, OK, and passed away Sunday, January 31, 2021 in the River Valley (Grace Living Center) in Clinton, OK.

Judith was raised in Shawnee, Oklahoma. She graduated from Shawnee High School in 1964 and from East Central University in Ada in 1968. She married Bill Garner October 14, 1972 in Clinton.

She was a member of the Putnam First Christian Church. She enjoyed art, sewing, cake decorating, traveling and going fishing. She had a passion for teaching and loved teaching Sunday School as well as being a teacher’s aide for Arapaho Public Schools. She adored her daughter, grandchildren, and her nieces and nephews. She would fight at the drop of a hat for her child, her grandchildren, and her faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, LaQuita Cowan, paternal grandparents, William Frank Cecil and Anna Laura (Pullin) Cecil and maternal grandparents, John Bowling and Rachel Mary (Hawkins) Bowling.

She is survived by her loving husband, Bill Garner, of the home; daughter, Kari Eakers and husband, Marcus, Choctaw, OK; two brothers, Steve and Darlene Cecil and Scott Cecil.

She is also survived by three grandchildren, Wyatt Sullivan, Clinton, and Taloa John and Mara Eakers, Choctaw.
