Funeral Services for Jeri Wilson, 88, former Clinton resident, will be held 10:00 A.M., Friday, February 10, 2023 in the First Baptist Church, officiated by, Tyler Wilson. Burial will follow in the Mound Valley Cemetery in Thomas, Oklahoma under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home.

Jeri (Dumas) Wilson was born February 8, 1934, to Minnie (Folks) Dumas and Albert Dumas in Weatherford, OK and passed away peacefully on February 3, 2023, with her loving family at her side.

Jeri spent her early years studying and developing her love of painting.

She graduated from Weatherford High School and continued her education by attending Southwestern Oklahoma State University.

Jeri began dating the love of her life, Richard Gene “R.G.”

Wilson, in the fall of 1951. They married on July 27, 1952, beginning their journey of deep abiding love and devotion for 63 years.

Their devotion to each other was admired and set the standard for all relationships.

They spent their lives in service to the Lord at the First Baptist Church, Clinton, OK.

Jeri and R.G. enjoyed many adventures together which included traveling in their motorhome, boating, playing bridge and entertaining friends and family. Jeri enjoyed cooking and she was known as a gracious hostess. Jeri taught her children and grandchildren the beauty of family and power of love. She also taught private art lessons to the many children in her art studio in her home.

It goes without saying that if the Oklahoma Sooners were playing football, Jeri would be glued to the game. Jeri was active in PEO Chapter FR and the Allied Arts Council in Clinton.

In 2018, when R.G.’s health declined, the couple moved to Bartlesville Oklahoma to be closer to family, but still considered Clinton, OK their home.

Towards the end of her life, Jeri claimed the promise to be absent from the body meant to be present with the Lord. She knew she would be reunited with those loved ones that preceded her in death.

She was preceded in death by her parents, seven siblings, son in law David Lorenson, and her beloved husband, R.G. Wilson.

She was survived by two daughters, Jeretta Amburn and husband, Bill, Bartlesville, OK and Suzy Lorenson, Tucson, AZ, four grandchildren, Julianne Lillie and husband, Jason, Claremore, OK, Tyler Wilson and wife, Lauren, Moore, OK, Ryan Rainbolt and wife, Sarah, of India, and Ashleigh McMains and husband, Matt, Moore, OK and 10 great grandchildren, Jaycie and Jett Lillie, Claremore, OK, Kate and Madi Wilson, Moore, OK, Josiah, Daniel and Abby Grace Rainbolt, of India and John Paul, Elliana and Tabitha McMains, Moore, OK.

She also leaves behind numerous nephews, nieces and many friends who loved and admire her.
