Funeral services for Jack James Taylor, 75 year-old Weatherford resident, were held on Wednesday, September 8, 2021, at 2:00 P.M. in the First Baptist Church of Weatherford with Earl Stephenson officiating. Burial followed in the Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Lockstone Funeral Home.

Jack was born on January 22, 1946, in Weatherford, OK to Theodore and Verda (Hammons) Taylor and passed away September 3, 2021, in Oklahoma City surrounded by loved ones, at the age of 75 years, 7 months and 12 days.

Jack was raised in Weatherford, OK and attended Weatherford Public Schools but never graduated so he could care for his father. After high school Jack went to work. He operated heavy machinery for the majority of his career. On March 14, 1978, Jack married the love of his life, Gail Morgan. They lived in Weatherford, OK where they raised their children. Jack enjoyed working, having never retired. He loved spending time with his family and fishing. He will be missed by lots of family and friends. Jack is survived by nine children, sons, Bobby Johnson of Weatherford, OK, Robert Taylor of Weatherford, OK, and Jack Taylor and wife Sherrea of Dallas, Texas; daughters, Kristy Heger and husband Randy of El Reno, Kathy Epp and husband Brian of Weatherford, OK, Toni Treat of Clinton, OK, Mandi Trissell and husband Dawain of Canute, OK, Shawna Epperly and husband Kevin of Weatherford, OK, and Sherie Taylor of Clinton, OK, twenty-five grandchildren; and twenty-seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gail Taylor; parents, Theodore and Verda Taylor; and brother, Art Taylor.
