Gladys Jeanette Stewart, 75, of Clinton, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully with her faithful husband of 28 years by her side on November 28th, 2020.

She was born on July 17th, 1945 to Houston Avis and Gladys Pauline Williams in Fort Worth, Texas. One of three sisters, Jeanette grew up mostly in Texas. After arriving in Clinton with her three children, Kim, Scott and Kelly, Jeanette worked a full time job while putting herself thru beauty school in Clinton to obtain her Beautician’s license. At the age of 36, Jeanette had another son, Matthew before opening the salon in her home where many people came for their set and style and great conversations. Upon her marriage to Lloyd Stewart, the family grew to include Lloyd’s daughter, Karetha.

Jeanette was passionate about encouraging and helping people. She was a lay speaker at the Chapel Hill United Methodist Church for many years and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, especially her husband Lloyd.

Survivors include her husband Lloyd Stewart of the home in Clinton; Children: Kimberley Shapard & husband Bill of OKC, OK, David Scott Swails & wife Deidre of Clinton, OK, Kelly Reynolds & husband Dusty of Groom, TX, Matthew Shumate of Lawton, OK, Karetha Bruns & husband Barry of Stillwater, OK; Grandchildren: Phoebe, Wil, Gracie, Jon, Sam, Dex, Bo, Kiera, Justin, Jamason, Taylor, Connor, Aurora, Leanne, and Tristan; Great Grandchild: Greysen; Sisters: Pat Parvin & husband Terrill of Kansas, OK, Sandy Landrum & husband Denny of OKC, OK; Numerous other family members and friends. Preceded in death by her parents.
