Gary Gene Jones, Jr., was born November 25, 1969 the son of Gary Gene Jones, Sr. and Linda (Allen) in Altus, OK and passed away Friday, September 17, 2021 in the Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City, OK.

Gary lived 6 years in Altus, then moved to Clinton, OK and lived with his dad. Gary Sr. married Anna Knoy and she joined the family and was affectionately known as “Mom”. He graduated from Clinton High School in 1988. He married Elizabeth Wright on October 15, 1988 in Hobart. He first worked as a welder and he and his wife, Elizabeth, became youth ministers and served their Hobart Church from 1994 to 1998. In 1999 they moved to Clinton and started pastoring at the Pentecostal Church of God which later changed to New Hope Fellowship. While pastoring in Clinton for 23 years, he held Sunday School classes every Sunday morning & a monthly afternoon service at the Methodist/Clinton Therapy & Living Center for 16 years, Gary and Elizabeth ran the Concession Stand at church camp for 9 years and helped in other capacities for the last several years. Gary loved going and taking people on Mission Trips to Belize where they not only preached in many churches and helped lead people to Christ, but laid tile in one church, dug a septic well on the side of a mountain for another, laid cinderblock walls for a yet another church, acted in skits for VBS and he fell in love with the people of Belize.

Along with his ministry duties he owned and operated Great Planes Interiors, at Clinton Municipal Airport, where he did Aircraft Interiors and was a Master Trimmer and worked on airplanes from all over the United States and two other countries.

Gary had a contagious laugh that would light up any room; he loved to have fun and make others laugh; he enjoyed hunting especially deer and turkey. He loved his family and spending time with them, as well as his church family, but his passion was the church and leading others to Christ.
