Delbert Dean Osborn passed away on Saturday, May 29, 2021 in Oklahoma City, OK at the age of 79. He was born on April 15, 1942 in Elk City, OK to Thomas and Justine (Chamberlain) Osborn.

He graduated from Stafford High School in 1960. Later he went on to graduate from Oklahoma State University School of Technical Training in Okmulgee, OK in 1964 with a degree in Air Conditioning and Heating.

While going to school in Okmulgee he met the love of his life, Thelma Paulsen. They were married on April 18, 1964 in Okmulgee. Delbert had a successful career in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning for many decades.

He was a member of the United Association of Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 344 for almost 55 years. He retired from Four Winds Services, Inc. in 1998 where he worked at the Federal Aviation Administration as a contractor in the Facilities and Maintenance Division.

Traveling with his wife was one of his greatest joys. Together they traveled to every state in the United States, as well as Canada, Nova Scotia, Europe, China, Australia, Mexico, Panama, and numerous islands in the Caribbean.

During his lifetime, he enjoyed taking his wife, children, grandchildren and extended family to his place at Lake Tenkiller where they enjoyed boating, swimming, water skiing, tubing, fishing, and shooting fireworks on July 4.

In retirement, he and his wife enjoyed traveling with a couple of local RV Clubs where they made many lasting friendships. He led a fulfilled life, accomplishing everything he set out to do – work hard, play hard, travel, and retire comfortably.

Delbert was preceded in death by his loving wife of 51 years, Thelma; parents, Thomas and Justine Osborn; twin brother, Gilbert and younger brother, James. He is survived by his son, Kevin Osborn and wife Jeana, daughter, Kimberley Sheppard and husband Alan; five grandchildren, Janae Branscum and husband Matthew, Joshua Osborn, Jaden Osborn, Addison Sheppard, and Bryson Sheppard; and two great-grandchildren, Bella Branscum and Blakelyn Branscum.
