Funeral service for Charles Lee “Doc” Turner D.C., 82 year-old Weatherford, OK resident, was held on Monday, July 8, 2019 at 10:00 AM at First Baptist Church with Pastor Earl Stephenson officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Lockstone Funeral Home.

Charles Lee Turner was born in Ruston, Louisiana on December 21, 1936 to Earl and Etta (Alexander) Turner and passed away on Thursday, July 4, 2019 at OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City, OK at the age of 82 years, 6 months, and 13 days. Doc was raised in Arkansas where he graduated from Piggott High School with the Class of 1954. He attended College of the Ozarks.

After college he enlisted in the US Navy and served for 2 years. He continued his education at Cleveland Chiropractic School in Kansas City, Missouri.

On December 27, 1979 he married Sue Young in Wheeler, TX. He worked as chiropractor in Clinton for 42 years until retirement.

Doc enjoyed serving his community and served as director of the Clinton Mission House for 27 years helping countless people in their time of need. He was the founding director of Western Oklahoma Promise Keepers. Doc’s real passion in life could be found in his love of family.

Doc is survived by his wife, Sue Turner, of the home in Weatherford, OK; one son, Kerby Picard of Dallas, TX; two daughters, Dana Russell and husband Cliff of Spavinaw, OK, and Tena Turner of Green Forrest, AR; one brother, Jim Turner of Florida; son-in-law, Aaron Winters of Weatherford, OK; 5 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild.

Charles is preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother, Dick; and daughter, Holly Winters. Memorials may be made to Mission House in Clinton, OK.
