Bruce Allen Leffingwell, 77, of Cordell, Oklahoma passed away unexpectedly at the Cordell Memorial Hospital on December 9th, 2021. He was born at home on August 27th, 1944 to Harold and Jean M. (Petrazelka) Leffingwell in Dover, New Jersey. Bruce grew up and attended school in Dover. During his Junior year in 1962, he enlisted in the United Air Force where he received his GED. He was wed to Paula Rutherford on June 22nd, 1968 in her parents’ Cordell home. They were married for 53 years.

Bruce was a handy person with many jobs including; heat, air, and electrical work for the Air Force, Maintenance, Security, and a Surveyor for the Oklahoma Department of Transportation. At one time he was a Cordell City Councilmen where he helped design the Tiny Tot playground at Lee Park. He was a member of the Numismatic Coin Club and an avid collector. His favorite coin was the Buffalo Nickel. Fishing and telling jokes were his other favorite pastimes. Bruce will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, especially his family.

Children: Priscilla Franco and Jennifer Leffingwell

Grandchildren: Maria Franco and Marcus Franco.

Siblings: Bob Leffingwell, Lorna Philhower, Lyn Greenfield, Joyce Gralnick, Jack Leffingwell, and Kim Weaver.
