A Celebration of Life Service for Blake Whitson, 38, Maxwell, NE resident and formerly of Burns Flat, OK will be held 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, July 13, 2021, in the Burns Flat School Gymnasium. The service will be officiated by T.C. Perkins and Earl Stephenson and under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home.

Blake Allyn Whitson was born December 22, 1982, to Lonnie Dewayne Whitson and Kathy Irene (Bodine) Whitson in Weatherford, OK and passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, July 7, 2021, in Monahans, TX.

Blake was raised in Burns Flat, OK. He attended school and graduated from Burns Flat High School in 2002. Blake was an outstanding athlete, playing football, basketball, baseball, golf and ran track. In addition, he was active in FFA. Blake attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford, OK before entering the Oil and Gas Industry, in which he traveled internationally for his profession.

Blake met the love of his life, Michelle Diane Boeshart and they married on July 26, 2014, in Maxwell, NE. In 2016 they made Maxwell, NE their home. He was a devoted father to his three daughters, Bentli, Demi and Kit. Blake had a deep love for his family and cherished the time they spent together.

Blake was a rare combination of someone who had a love of living life to the fullest and a firm understanding of what was important. He had a contagious personality and a sense of humor that lit up any room.

Blake had the uncanny ability to find happiness in all life circumstances. The simplest pleasures in life brought him great joy, as Blake loved to hunt and fish, as well as had a passion for ranching.

Blake is survived by his wife, Michelle and three daughters, Bentli, Demi and Kit, all of the Nebraska home; his parents, Lonnie and Kathy Whitson, Clinton, OK; brother, Brock Whitson and wife, Kasey, Thomas, OK; paternal grandmother, Betty Whitson, Elk City, OK.

He is also survived by a nephew, Knox Whitson, and numerous cousins and other family.

Blake left his earthly home a loved and cherished man.
