Funeral services for Beverly Shopteese, 82, of Clinton, will be held at 1 p.m. Friday in the Kiesau Memorial Chapel.

She died Saturday, July 13, 2019, in the Corn Heritage Village in Corn.

Beverly Ann (Larson) Shopteese was born June 6, 1937, to Dewey Sampson Larson and Mabel Edith (Kennedy) Larson in Vega, Texas. She was raised in Vega and Amarillo, Texas, and graduated from Amarillo High School in 1956.

She worked as an operating technician in an Amarillo hospital and as a cook in numerous nursing homes and other facilities.

Shopteese moved to Oklahoma in 1974, first making Foss her home before settling in Clinton. She had most recently worked in home health care and the Methodist Nursing Home before retiring in 1992.

She had been a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and the Altar Society, and she enjoyed crocheting, embroidery, painting and quilting.

Shopteese was preceded in death by her husband; two sons, Rex Eugene Larson and Samuel Blakely Oliver; two brothers, Thomas Larson and Melton Larson; and a sister, Blanche Palmer.

Survivors include two daughters, Bonnie Murphy of Cordell and Evelyn Oliver of Corn; a brother, Richard Larson of Tulsa; five grandchildren, Jennifer Nunn, Melody Murphy and husband Lance, Billy Murphy and fiancée Kelsey, Anna Makuch and husband David, and David Jennings and girlfriend Heather Scott; and nine great-grandchildren.

The service will be officiated by Pastor Daniel Mosburg and under the direction of Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home.
