School may be back in session, but activities continue at the Clinton Public Library with story time every Tuesday and other events planned to close out the year.

By 2026, the Mother Road that spans from Chicago to Santa Monica will be 100 years old. Route 66 Associations all over the world are preparing for the centennial celebration of the storied highway, and in Clinton, it’s no different.

Royal prospects

The coronation revealing the king and queen will be held before the football game on Sept. 22 in the Tornado Bowl.

The City of Clinton’s communications systems will soon be getting an upgrade after a July 7 storm blew through town crumbling the City’s communications tower located at City Hall. With temporary towers in place, the City has come up with a new plan featuring an antenna farm which will further the City’s communications abilities with a smaller price tag.
