Residents of Custer County, and seven other Oklahoma counties who sustained damage from severe storms, winds, tornadoes, and flooding in May are now eligible for disaster assistance from the Federal Emergency Management Agency, or (FEMA) officials announced.
During Monday morning’s meeting the Custer County Commissioners offered numerous updates within the county, including ongoing reports about the severe weather that struck at the end of May.
A mayoral race has developed for the City of Clinton. As of press time Monday, incumbent mayor David Berrong had officially filed at the Custer County Election Board Office, and so had incoming challenger Chris Roland.
