A Geronimo man was injured early Tuesday morning in a motorcycle accident just east of Weatherford on Interstate 40. According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Justin L. Lewis, 37, of Geronimo, was driving a 2017 Harley Davidson around 3:28 a.m. Tuesday eastbound on I-40 near mile marker 83 near Weatherford. The report states Lewis tried to make an adjustment to equipment on the motorcycle and lost control.

Local 4-H member awarded

Bailey Hatfield, a member of the Custer County 4-H group, shows off the award she won, the Karen Richardson Memorial Horseman of the Year Scholarship, which is an award for the Oklahoma 4-H Horse Project. This is the first year for the scholarship to carry Richardson’s name. Richardson, from Arapaho, dedicated over 30 years to the 4-H program.
