Clinton native and member of the Cheyenne and Arapaho Emergency Medical Services Twila “Ann” Ashcraft was recently awarded with the honor of receiving the 2025 Conference Moses Starr Jr. Honored Elder Award in a ceremony held during the Cheyenne and Arapaho Diabetes Wellness Elders Conference Friday at the Frisco Center.

An unknown victim was shot in the chest and died as a result of the injuries Friday morning at Weatherford, according to Weatherford Police Chief Angelo Orefice. One man is in custody in relation to the shooting.
