Two CPD officers achieve CLEET certification

The Clinton Police Department recently had two officers complete their Council on Law Enforcement Education and Training (CLEET) Certification to not only fill a state requirement but also to allow for these officers to have better knowledge around subjects when working in the field.

New educators help fill ranks for Clinton Public Schools

Clinton Public Schools has welcomed 20 new teachers and one new principal to the district for the 2024-25 school year. This year, they each received a $750 stipend from the district and a $500 stipend from the Clinton Public Schools Foundation during the annual New Teacher Luncheon Wednesday afternoon.

Nominations for Clinton Citizen of the Year, Clinton’s top honor which is awarded to those who go above and beyond to make Clinton a better place and improve the quality of life for its residents, are now open and will be awarded at the Clinton Chamber of Commerce’s annual banquet set for Sept. 6.
