Custer County Commissioners approved a resolution to provide $350,000 of American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding to the County Clerk’s office for use in the preservation and scanning of land record documents at their weekly meeting yesterday. Updates were also given on various work going on across the county.

City works to secure new hangar grant

The Clinton Regional Airport is up for a grant from the Oklahoma Aeronautics Committee (OAC) to continue repairs after the Oct. 12, 2021, tornado. The grant would cover 30% of the $743,180 project, which would rebuild one of the hangars damaged in the storm.

School board tours repaired CHS

The Clinton Board of Education toured the completed repairs of the flood damaged High School during their regular meeting Monday. Also discussed at the meeting was the district’s capital improvement plan and school board redistricting.
