Two Clinton businesses were the target of an alleged armed robber Saturday afternoon, but the Clinton Police Department and Oklahoma Highway Patrol nabbed the suspect before they could strike another.
An Elk City truck driver died Friday as a result of injuries suffered in a single-vehicle accident 1 mile west of Reydon in Roger Mills County.

At Monday’s Custer County Board of County Commissioners meeting commissioners approved regular orders of business. Most issues brought before the board related to financial matters, the standout topic was the new appointment of Sheffield Southhall R.N. to the Custer County Health Department Board. Southhall works as a nurse at Clinton Public Schools “(She is) well thought of; very respected in that world,” said Dist. 3 Commissioner Lyle Miller. “If Sheffield says it, it’s gospel.”
