A quick response from Clinton first responders late Friday night saved a house at 1511 Frisco Ave. and its residents from serious damage after leftover embers from a grill caused it to go up in flames.

Custer County Commissioners approved a resolution Monday pertaining to the Oklahoma Department of Transportation’s County Road Machinery and Equipment Revolving Fund to allow for the purchase of needed equipment across the county.

Students from local schools competed with those from nearly 50 different schools around the state at the Southwestern Oklahoma State University Interscholastic Meet (SWIM) held March 23 on the Weatherford campus.
