Many seniors enrolled in Medicare Part D prescription drug plans will face premium and other cost increases next year, said Keri Divis of Clinton’s Opportunities, Inc., if they don’t switch to lower-cost plans during the open enrollment period which ends Dec. 7.

Oklahoma Insurance Commissioner Glen Mulready has issued an order authorizing Providence Washington Insurance Company (PWIC), a Rhode Island-based insurance company, to submit its Insurance Business Transfer (IBT) Plan to the District Court of Oklahoma County for approval.
The next ombudsman volunteer training course will be held from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 5 at the SWODA Building, 420 Sooner Drive in Burns Flat. The second day of training will be held at a later date, said SWODA Area Agency on Aging Ombudsman Supervisor Cherrie Nutley.
