The Clinton Fire Department took delivery of its new truck, a 2019 Pierce engine costing approximately $600,000, about noon Thursday.
It had 64 hours on it when it was delivered by representatives of Conrad Fire Equipment of Oklahoma City, the dealer from whom it was purchased.

Trash pickup rates will be rising 65.2 percent for City of Clinton customers living outside the city limits as a result of action taken Tuesday night by the City Council.
After reaching a high of 73 degrees here Sunday, the thermometer plunged to a low of 28 Tuesday night, bringing with it snow, ice and a wide-ranging slew of ac-cidents. Fortunately, there were no injuries from any of them in this area.
