Ever since the first CO- VID-19 numbers for counties within the state were released, people wanted to know what towns were affected by the disease.
It was announced that Clinton High School junior Litzy Silos is one of 52 students in the state to have been accepted into the Youth Leadership Oklahoma (YLOK) class program. The competitive process for acceptance into the 20th annual program is based on proven leadership, geographic, ethnic and cultural diversity.
The City of Clinton will hold its 2020 City-Wide Spring Cleanup on Saturday. Unlike the monthly ClintonFirst cleanup day, when volunteers fan out to clean up the streets of Clinton, this event is for citizens who want to clean up their own back yards — as well as any garages, basements, closets and other storage areas needing some sprucing up.
This is another installment of “In Their Own Words” where we are asking area students to write in about whatever is on their mind. Submissions may cover any topic. Articles and pictures may be dropped off at 522 Avant or emailed to cdneditor@swbell.net.
