The number of initial claims for unemployment benefits filed with the Oklahoma Employment Security Commission (OESC) for the most recent week continue to reflect the impact of business closures due to the CO-VID-19 and Oil Industry crises.

DAY SHIFT
Paint crews added a Red Tornado logo on the north side of the water tower on the west side of town over the weekend. A new coat of paint was added and “Clinton” was painted on the south side of the tower in addition to Clinton’s Rt. 66 Museum logos visible from from both directions of I-40.
On Monday the state entered Phase 3 of Gov. Kevin Stitt’s plan to reopen the economy, and in it he ordered long-term care facilities to remain closed to visitors for now. But even if he’d given them the go-ahead to open up, nursing home directors in Clinton say they would still remain closed to visitors — for now.
